Snowy Friday!!!

Happy Friday! 

The class was very excited that it was snowing outside! 

During Japanese Time, Flamingo A practiced writing.

Then we went out to play in the snow! It was so much fun! The class ran around, had small snowball fights, and tried to make snowmen (the snow was too fluffy). We played with the Penguins outside.

We came back inside to warm up and had Show and Tell with items that started with letter L. We had lots of lions!! 

 We also played with Kapla blocks!

 Flamingos love snow!!!

Today we were very busy with many activities. This morning we read Snowballs by Lois Elhert. In our phonics books we learned about the letter L. In Art we finished our japanese calligraphy, and used  red yarn to create a flag for Japan. We wrapped the yarn in a circle pattern just like the sun on the flag. Yoga class after lunch is always calming for us!!  Wednesday was a wonderful day at IAAS...

Freezing Day

Today was very cold.  However, we came to school to have a fun day.

We are learning how to write Japanese calligraphy.

This year's animal is horse.

We love reading books during our reading time.

We read a book called "The Biggest, Best Snowman."

After, we created our own snowman.

Happy New Year!

            Happy New Year to all our IAAS families! We hope you all had a great holiday and an even better New Year.  We had a great first day of our new year. We did some New Years art in the Flamingo classes. We decorated New Years hat with  different materials. We were soooo happy to see all our children back at school.
