Today was a super special day here at IAAS because today we played the traditional Japanese game of Suikawari (watermelon splitting)! Watermelon splitting is a perfect thing to do on a summer day because when we're done, we get to eat it all up! The watermelon was juicy and delicious and we all got to have a piece, yum!
Morning play time!
FUN!
What can we dig and find?
Sing-a-long time!
Rise & Shine!
Our teacher is showing us how to play the game
The little ones are up first...
Small yet powerful!
The older children were blindfolded making the game extra tricky
Spin, spin, spin!
SMASH!
Even our teachers got to try!
We finally did it! We split the watermelon, yay!
Time to cut it up and eat it!
Oishi!
SO DELICIOUS
Let's take a bite and smile :)
What a delicious and fun summer day!
