Dolphins and Whales are getting ready to celebrate Setsubun on Feb. 3, which marks the end of winter and is the day before first day of spring. The Japanese custom is to throw roasted soybeans on that day and shout, "Get Goblins out of the house and invite happiness into the house."
We learned about winter animals today. We met variety of winter animals in our story, "The Mitten" by Jan Brett. Students drew their favorite winter animal inside their own mitten.
We had a farewell party for one of our students in Dolphin A/ Whales class. We will miss you! We played games and shared another good memory before saying good bye.
