Penguins: X,Y,Z & Teachers appreciation lunch!

Today was a special day at IAAS, the lovely parents of our students made us a delicious lunch and all of us teachers here at IAAS are very thankful and appreciative for your time and effort! In the Penguins class today, we reached the end of our alphabet journey and learned about letters X,Y & Z. There was no better way to learn about these letters other than using our favorite classroom book, "Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom" by Bill Martin Jr. After listening to the story, we made our own coconut trees!
"Last to come X, Y, Z and the sun goes down on the coconut tree..."

We painted the trunks brown, and the leaves green. The Penguins put their best effort forward when attempting to stay inside the lines!

With a little help from Ms.Melinda, we were able to paint just right!

After painting our trees, we used three coconuts labeled X, Y & Z and placed them on our tree!

Here is the finished product, everyone's tree is so beautiful and different!
When our work is finished it's time to read and play!

Lunch time is always our favorite time in the Penguin's class.

The food at our Teacher's appreciation lunch was so delightful!

So many great choices!

To the parents who worked to prepare this wonderful lunch for us, it was amazing and we THANK YOU!!!
